Nicholas Joseph Reisinger was born March 9, 1952 in Mexico D.F. to Alois Josef and Patricia (Andres) Reisinger and passed away on July 7, 2014 following an accident on the family farm. Nick lived each day of his 62 years, 3 months, 28 days to the fullest. Nick was a 1970 graduate of Aquinas Institute in Rochester, New York and then attended the University of Notre Dame where he was President of the Notre Dame Glee Club and received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting in 1974. He worked as a CPA with Haskins and Sells in Omaha, Nebraska from 1974 to 1978 when he moved to Seward, Nebraska and began employment with Hughes Brothers on November 6, 1978. Nick devoted his career to Hughes Brothers and was currently Vice President/Controller. Nick was united in marriage to Rebecca Ann Orr on October 25, 1980, in Seward, Nebraska. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Claire, Patrick K. and Alexander J. Nick was a devoted member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Seward and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. He shared his gift of singing and love of music by being a cantor for church services and funerals. Nick was an active member of his Seward area community, serving with the Seward Volunteer Fire Department and as an EMT; with the Seward County Fair Board, Seward Board of Education, Seward Foundation and SMART Investment Club. He was also on the board of various international companies. Nick was a loving, devoted family man and is survived by his wife, Becky Reisinger, Seward; their children, Claire and Terence Fitzgibbon of Glen Cove, NY, Patrick K. Reisinger of New York, NY and Alexander J. Reisinger and fiancée, Lindsey Sargent of South Bend, IN; granddaughters, Natalie and Tessa Fitzgibbon; siblings and their spouses, Steven and Ellen Reisinger of Rockport, TX and Jean and Michael Heins of Cranberry, PA; nieces and nephews; cousins; mother-in-law, Clarice A. Orr, Lincoln; sisters-in-law and spouses, Marilyn Orr, Cincinnati, OH, Cheryle and Louis Paglialonga, Atascardero, CA, Cynthia and Douglas Parrott, Omaha and a host of friends. Nick is preceded in death by his parents, Alois and Patricia Reisinger; his father-in-law, John D. Orr, Sr. and brother-in-law, John Orr.
