Obituary
Nikola grew up in Zenica where he attended school. In September of 1962 Nikola married Jovanka Dukic in Zenica, Yugoslavia and to this union three sons were born. Nikola began working at Zeljezara Zenica Steel Company where he operated cranes and other heavy equipment. He worked there for 40 years until his retirement in 1996. Nikola and Jovonka immigrated to the United States in May of 1998. He enjoyed writing songs, working in his garden, reading, walking in parks and he loved the wonders of nature. Nikola was a member of the St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nikola and Gospova Karac.
Survivors cherishing Nikola's memory include his wife, Jovanka Karac, Seward; three sons, Brano Karac, Staplehurst, Ranko Karac and wife Milka, Seward and Bosko Karac, Staplehurst. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Nikola.
