Norma Ailene (Karnopp) Jones was born July 30, 1921 in Bennet, Nebraska to William and Florence (Laughlin) Karnopp and passed away on March 2, 2006 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 84 years, 7 months, 3 days. Norma attended school in Lincoln and was a graduate of Lincoln High School. Norma was united in marriage to Glen Gilbert Jones on January 25, 1950 at First Presbyterian Church in Lincoln, Nebraska. To this union two children were born, Candace and Curtis. Norma and Glen spent their entire married life together living in Utica. Glen passed away in 1978 and Norma moved to Lincoln in 1983. She was a member of the Utica United Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary No. 49 in Utica. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, William and Florence Karnopp; her husband, Glen G. Jones; brother, Dale Karnopp; sisters, Lola Karnopp, Blanche Peters and Lucille Roepka. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Candace Jones Huey and William Huey, Omaha; her son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Sarah Jones, Lincoln; granddaughter, Lindsey Jones, Lincoln; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Ken Hatcher, Buena Park, California; sisters-in-law, Eudece Jones, Utica, Audrey Karnopp, Lincoln and Eda Murphy, Greensboro, Georgia; special and dedicated friend, Jean Adkins, Lincoln; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Norma. |
