Olga Josephine (Stransky) Korinek was born March 19, 1911 in Dwight, Nebraska to Antone and Katie (Hurka) Stransky and passed away in Seward, Nebraska on October 31, 2010 at the age of 99 years, 7 months, 12 days. Peggy attended school in Dwight and was a 1928 graduate of Dwight High School. On February 21, 1935, Peggy was united in marriage to Emil Leonard Korinek. Their marriage was blessed with one son, Ron. They resided in Loma, Bruno, Abie, Linwood and Bee prior to moving to Seward in the early 1950's. Peggy was a wife, mother and homemaker and was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church and Altar Society in Seward. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Antone and Katie Stransky; her husband, Emil L. Korinek in 2004; eight brothers and sisters. Peggy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Lois Korinek of Lincoln; grandchildren, Joan and Jim Bellinghausen of Leawood, KS, Jennifer and Dale Preston of Lincoln, John and Becky Korinek of Omaha, and Gerald and Jennifer Korinek of Lincoln; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Eleanor Dulka and Wilma Stransky, both of Grass Valley, CA; other relatives and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Peggy. |
