Obituary

Palma "Kay" (Wragge) Keller was born March 15, 1934 in Howells, Nebraska to Walter and Palma (Kupka) Wragge and passed away in Seward on July 27, 2017 at the age of 83 years, 4 months and 12 days. She was a 1952 graduate of Schuyler High School. After graduation, she moved to Denver, Colorado to be with her sister, Joyce and find a job. She worked for the Teamster Union for one year.

On April 18, 1953, Palma Kay was united in marriage to John Robert Keller at St. Augustines Catholic Church in Schuyler. They moved to Enid, Oklahoma where John was stationed at Vance Air Force Base. After his discharge in 1956, they moved to Seward where John went into business with his brother, Russell at the Seward Tire and Battery Shop.

Their marriage was blessed with three children, Robert, Wendi and Jon. John and Kay lived in Seward all their married life of 56 years. Palma was a homemaker and preferred to stay home and raise their three children. After their children went off to college, she did work briefly at the Rivoli Video Store in Seward. Palma enjoyed taking care of their homes, gardening, music, movies, football games, traveling and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She was a long time member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and PCCW.

Palma was preceded in death by her grandparents, Anton and Marie Kupka, her parents Walter and Palma Wragge, step father Paul Ginn, her father-in-law and mother-in-law Robert and and Edith Keller, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Chester and Betty (Gaeth) Keller, Russell and Marion (Wurst) Keller, sister Georgene Cowden, brother-in-law Ed Schaefer and her husband, John who passed away in 2009.

Palma is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Robert and Denise Keller of McKinney, TX; daughter and son-in-law Wendi and Bill Hiller of Marion, IN; son and daughter-in-law Jon and Kristine Keller of Ft. Wayne, IN; five granddaughters; one step granddaughter and one step grandson; five great grandchildren; sister Joyce Schaefer of Broken Arrow, OK; brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Lois Wragge of Sheridan, WY; nieces and nephews and other relatives and a host of friends, especially Eldon and Ann Gruntorad who were best friends for over 50 years. To this obituary we add our many memories of life shared with Palma "Kay".
