Patricia Ann (Volquartsen) Gordon was born on March 2, 1937, in Manning, Iowa to Carl and Eleanor (Murrphy) Volquartsen and passed away in Osceola, Nebraska on June 10, 2024, at the age of 87 years, 3 months and 8 days.

Pat's family moved to Omaha, NE where she attended school. After school, she worked at various restaurants before owning her own in Mustang, OK known as "Pat's Kitchen." She was united in marriage to Carl Gordon on February 18, 1961, in Gresham, OR. Her most important job during her life was being a mother to numerous children that she and Carl fostered. Between the years of 1963 and 2012, the couple fostered over 100 children. Her caring heart made an impact on numerous people's lives. Pat enjoyed cooking, camping in Oregon and sewing, but what she valued most in life was studying the Bible and being an active member in her women's group at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waco.

She is preceded in death by her parents; children, Susanne, Jesse, Dennis; brothers, Daniel Volquartsen and David Volquartsen.

Survivors cherishing her memory include her husband of 63 years, Carl Gordon; son, Michael Gordon; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous foster children.
