Patricia "Pat" J. Latzel was born on January 10, 1953 in Hastings, NE to Charles & Mary (Johnson) Sigman and Lewis Hanson and passed away on December 21, 2017 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 64 years, 11 months and 11 days. Pat grew up in Harvard, Nebraska where she attended school. She obtained her GED in 1980.

On September 5, 1970, Pat was united in marriage to Allen E. Latzel. To this union, three children were born, Candace, Catherine and Timothy. During their 42 years of marriage, Pat and Allen lived in several cities in Nebraska: Harvard, Henderson, Benedict, York and Lincoln until they divorced. Afterwards, Pat lived in York, Seward and the Milford areas. Pat enjoyed crocheting, shopping, doing word searches and reading her Bible. Besides spending time with her family, Pat enjoyed socializing with her friends at Seward Manor II, Crestview Care Center and the York and Seward Senior Centers. Pat's strong faith in Jesus Christ helped her through the trials in her life.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Laura Swarts, her brother, Robert Hammond, her brother-in-law, Keith Poor, her grandparents and her mother-in-law, Cleta Hauser.

Survivors include her children, Candace (Scott) Battreall, York, NE, Catherine (Ed) Pearson, Seward, NE, Timothy (Becky) Latzel, Nebraska; her beloved granddaughter, KateLynn Battreall; two sisters, Louise Poor, Owesso, OK and Ronda Sigman, Hastings, NE; brother, Lewis "Butch" (Katherine) Sigman, Hastings, NE; stepmother, Romaine Hanson, Denver CO; brother-in-law, Barry Swarts, Harvard NE; sister-in-law, Cheryl Hammond, Bellevue NE and many other family members and friends.
