Funeral Service 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 20, 2011 St. John Lutheran Church Seward, Nebraska VISITATION 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2011 with the family receiving friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Zabka Funeral Home, Seward and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. INTERMENT Our Redeemer Lutheran Church Cemetery rural Staplehurst, Nebraska MEMORIALS Donor's choice in care of the Luethke family Patricia Ann (Schmitt) Luethke was born February 16, 1945 in Seward, Nebraska, the daughter of Edward Joseph and Rose Tillie (Odvody) Schmitt. Pat passed away on October 15, 2011 at her home in Seward at the age of 66 years, 7 months, 27 days. Pat was baptized, received her first communion and was confirmed at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ulysses. She attended school in Ulysses and was a 1964 graduate of Aquinas High School in David City. On September 28, 1968, Pat was united in marriage to Edward Gerhardt Luethke and their marriage was blessed with four children, Jacqueline, Steven, Daniel and Jonathan. The family lived west of Staplehurst; Edward passed away in 1989 and Pat moved to Seward in 1995. Pat was a former member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church near Staplehurst and was a current member of St. John Lutheran Church in Seward. She was currently an employee of Ridgewood Rehabilitation and Care Center in Seward. Pat is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; infant son, Steven E. Luethke in 1970; son, Daniel E. Luethke in 2005; and daughter-in-law, Amy Luethke in 2009. Pat is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline and Dean Gocke, Seward; son, Jonathan Luethke, Bee; grandchildren, Kayla and Dalton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Norman and Helen Schmitt, Crete, Bob and Marilyn Schmitt, David City; sister and brother-in-law, Colleen and David Cingle, Papillion; aunt, Lillian Jansa, Wahoo; nieces and nephews and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers, and memories of life shared with Pat.
