Patrick Stephen "Rick" Sheldon was born on June 14, 1949, to Marvin and Jean (White) Sheldon in Lincoln, Nebraska and passed away on September 14, 2025, in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 76 years, and 3 months.

Rick grew up in Lincoln and graduated from Lincoln High with the class of 1967. He grew up loving his time at his grandparents farm and horses. Rick was an avid Yankees and Babe Ruth fan. He was united in marriage to Debra White in June of 1972, and to this union two children were born, Derrick and Danielle. The couple lived their entire marriage raising their children in Milford, NE. Rick retired after working for 38 years at Goodyear Tire and Rubber, 7 years at Terracon, and 5 years at Syngenta Seed. After retiring, Rick enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren, who were the loves of his life, and enjoyed attending all their events. He loved to help others in any way he could. Rick was very hardworking and never complained.  He had great love for his dogs, especially his little three-pound poodle, Gabby, who was always by his side and ready for a road trip for some good BBQ or ice cream. He was an avid Husker football fan. Rick was known as a jokester and comedian to many people.

Rick is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Scott Sheldon; sister, Susan Perez; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lewis and Harriet White; brother-in-law, Dan White; granddaughter, Michelle Lowery; grandparents.

Survivors cherishing his memory include his wife, Debra Sheldon of Milford, NE; son, Derrick Sheldon of Seward, NE; daughters, Danielle Sheldon of Seward, NE, Angie Lowery of Lincoln, NE; step-daughter, Michelle Sheldon of Lincoln, NE; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Jay Sheldon of Lincoln, NE; sister and brother-in-law, Laurel (Bernard) Kwiatkowski of Davie, FL; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cindy (Mike) Daehling of Clearwater, KS; sister-in-law, Vicky Ziegler; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
