Paul Edwin Reynolds was born July 19, 1928 in Hubbard, Iowa to Wilbur, J. and Ruth Ethel (Hill) Reynolds and passed away in Lincoln, Nebraska on February 2, 2011 at the age of 82 years, 6 months, 14 days. Paul was a 1947 graduate of Blencoe, Iowa High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served from September 1947 through September 1951. Paul was united in marriage to Peggy Jean Perry on June 5, 1954 in Omaha, Nebraska. Their union was blessed with six children. Paul was a soil conservation technician with the USDA until his retirement. The family moved to Tamora, NE in 1963 where Paul resided until last year when he moved to Lincoln. Paul attended the United Methodist Church; he was a former member of the Tamora Volunteer Fire Department and Town Board, a member of American Legion Post 33 - Seward. Paul enjoyed woodworking. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Ruth Reynolds; his wife, Peggy Reynolds in 1987; his brothers, Vernon, John, David and Marvin Reynolds; daughter-in-law, Darlene Reynolds and two grandsons. Paul is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Gary Reynolds of York, Michael and Gail Reynolds of Elmwood, Chris and Bev Reynolds of Lincoln; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Aaron Nansel of Bennett, CO, Susan Myers of York, Connie and Richard Jindra of Utica; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Elizabeth Reynolds of Morehead, IA; sisters and brother-in-law, Joyce and Charles Peterson of Bennington and Carol Lindsay of Morehead, IA; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; other relatives and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers, and memories of life shared with Paul. |
