Paul Norman Spahn was born July 5, 1929 in Lincoln, Nebraska, the son of Paul Edward and Ruth J. (White) Spahn and passed away on February 9, 2017 in Utica, Nebraska at the age of 87 years, 7 months, 4 days. Paul was the oldest of three children. He attended school in Perrysburg, Ohio. On August 27, 1951, Paul was united in marriage to Marian E. (Haas) Spahn at St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg, Ohio. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Paul Jeffrey, Bradley and Suzan. Paul was a U.S. Army Veteran and a 25-year member of Utica American Legion Post #49. Paul worked for the Lancaster County Sheriff's Department in the Intelligence Division for many years, retiring in 1978. Paul was an active member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Utica and the National Right to Life and Nebraska Right to Life organizations.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Marian in 2003.

Paul is survived by his children: sons, Paul Jeffrey Spahn and Bradley Spahn of Beaver Crossing and daughter and son-in-law, Suzan and Thomas Yearley of Goehner; three grandchildren: Peter, Emily and Paul Yearley and two brothers.
