Paul Willard VanDerslice was born on March 14, 1945, in Pomona, California to Karl and Margaret (Magnuson) VanDerslice, and passed away on January 22, 2023, in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 77 years, 10 months and 8 days.
Paul attended school and graduated from Ceresco High School, then went on to join the Marine Corps. Paul was united in marriage to Janice Cuda in Wahoo, Nebraska on March 27, 1967, and to this union three sons were born, David, Mike and Brian. Paul began driving a truck at the age of 13 and received his first ticket at the age of 14 for improper use of a school permit. He enjoyed trucking his entire life and on September 23, 1993, he started P-J Express. He continued trucking the remainder of his life where he enjoyed working and fixing vehicles. Paul loved fishing, spending time with family and shooting pool. He enjoyed drinking his morning coffee with friends and attending truck auctions.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents; son, David VanDerslice; grandson, Tyler Armknecht; siblings, Bob VanDerslice, Kenny VanDerslice, Karen Washington and Linda VanDerslice.
Survivors cherishing his memory include his wife, Janice VanDerslice, Seward; sons, Mike and wife, Morie VanDerslice, Seward, Brian VanDerslice, Seward; grandsons, Colby and wife, Katelin VanDerslice and Austin VanDerslice; siblings, Andy VanDerslice, Rich VanDerslice, Dennis VanDerslice, Karl VanDerslice, Marilyn Hill and Barb VanDerslice; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of a life shared with Paul.
