Obituary

Pauline Ellen Feigion was born March 30, 1921 in Columbus, Nebraska to Homer Raymond and Hettie (Brannen) Francis. The family lived in the Osceola and Columbus area and raised eight children during the depression years. Pauline was baptized January 29, 1938 at Salem Lutheran Church, Stromsburg, Nebraska. She attended school in Osceola. Pauline married Carl A. Anderson on October 26, 1937 and to this marriage four children were born. They farmed north of Stromsburg until 1958. Pauline was married to Albert Feigion in 1975. Pauline worked at what is now Concordia UniversitySeward for 23 years as a secretary in the Building and Grounds Department. Some of her fondest memories were working with the students. She visited Ireland in 1981, fulfilling a long time desire to see the homeland of some of her ancestors. Pauline was a member of St. John Lutheran Church since 1960, a member of the Memorial Health Care Auxiliary, AARP and an active volunteer in the community, She led a seniors exercise group for many years; helped at the Lutheran District Office and volunteered at the Lied Senior Center from its beginning. Pauline passed away on April 23, 2013, in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 92 years, 24 days. Pauline is survived by sons, Wayne Anderson and friend Thelma Ball of Wymore, and Larry Anderson of Lincoln and daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Ronald Urbanek of Seward; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Peggy Francis of Concord, California and Evelyne Anderson of Stromsburg; nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Pauline is preceded in death by her parents; son, Keith Anderson; grandson, Larry Anderson; sisters and spouses, Henrietta and Emil Buresh, Thelma Neujahr, Betty and John Graybill, Vivian June and Darrell Sternberg; brothers and spouse, Albert Francis, Homer and Hazel Francis and Gordon Francis. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers, and memories of life shared with Pauline.
