Phyllis Mardell White was born on August 8, 1947, in Rosalie, NE to Billie E. and Doris P. (Badje) Potter and passed away on February 3, 2017, in Seward at the age of 69 years, 5 months and 26 days.
Phyllis grew up in Craig, NE where she attended school. On September 24, 1964, she was united in marriage to William "Jesse" White in Craig. The couple lived in several towns in Nebraska before moving to Tipton, MO for a couple of years. Jesse and Phyllis moved back to Nebraska in 1977 and they settled in Bee. Phyllis worked at Bethesda Care Center and the Utica Community Care Center as a CNA for many years. She retired on her birthday August 8, 2012 from Ridgewood Care Center. She had quite a collection of Elvis memorabilia which she enjoyed very much. Phyllis was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and caregiver to countless residents at the nursing homes.
She was preceded in death by husband, Jesse in 2007, son Billy in 1991, father Billie Potter, step father Cliff Russell, three sisters Lavohn Pahlke, Kay Miller and Bonnie Summers.
Phyllis is survived by her two sons, Kelly and wife Cathy White, Frisco, TX, Kirt and wife DeAnn White, Lincoln, two grandchildren, Sarah and Jarod White, Lincoln, mother Doris Russell, Seward, brothers and sisters, Judy and husband David Woodward, Scottsdale, AZ, Rod Russell, Chandler, AZ, Jackie and husband Bryant Shaw, Phoenix, AZ, Roger Russell, Peoria, AZ, Mayone Japp, Washington, NE.
