Raymond Stanley Dobesh was born March 14, 1914 in Brainard, Nebraska and passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 in Milford, Nebraska at the age of 96 years, 8 months, 24 days. As a youth Raymond moved with his family north of Seward and attended School District 33 in Seward County. On March 26, 1940, Raymond was united in marriage to Marie Elizabeth Duffek in a double wedding at Dwight Assumption Catholic Church. They farmed north of Seward and raised two sons, Val and David. Raymond was a lifelong farmer, he semi-retired in 1980. He was a lifetime member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Bee. Raymond is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Dobesh; his mother, Josephine Dobesh and his son, David Dobesh. Raymond is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Val and Lorraine Dobesh of Staplehurst; grandchildren, Damon Dobesh, Dustin Dobesh, Crystal and Mike Obbink; daughter-in-law, Cindy Benes and husband, Vic of Lincoln; great-grandchildren, Owen and Easton Obbink; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dick and Helen Duffek of Bee; nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Raymond. |
