Raymond Gregory Krenk was born October 20, 1928 in Dwight, Nebraska, the son of Louis and Helen (Helman) Krenk and passed away on January 29, 2013 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 84 years, 3 months, 9 days. Ray graduated from Dwight Assumption High School in 1947 and worked in Omaha at U.S. Steel for two years and then returned to farm southwest of Dwight. On February 20, 1960, Ray was united in marriage to Donna Mae Henrich in Omaha, Nebraska. Their union was blessed with four children, Jackie, Jeff, Mike and Pam. Ray farmed for many years and in 1987 he began working for Goodyear; later that year they moved to Lincoln. Ray was employed with Goodyear for seven years until his retirement. Ray was formerly a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Dwight and currently a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lincoln. He was also a member of the United Steel Workers Union. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Helen Krenk; his grandson, Jake Barry; brothers, Alois, Richard, and Adrian Krenk. Ray is survived by his wife, Donna Krenk, Lincoln; children and spouses, Jackie and Dan Pernicek, Seward, Jeff and Pam Krenk, Seward, Mike and Barb Krenk, Lincoln, Pam and Ed Barry, Valparaiso; ten grandchildren, Brooke Pernicek, Kylee Pernicek, Caleb Krenk, Larissa Krenk, Zac Krenk, Makayla Krenk, Devin Krenk, Blake Krenk, Nicole Barry, Austin Barry; sisters and brother-in-law, Wilma Podolak, Schuyler, Marcie and Al Sabatka, Valparaiso; sister-in-law, Delores Krenk, David City; and a host of friends.
