Rex Allen Buehrer was born March 12, 1939 in York, Nebraska, the son of Walter and Natalie Opal (Ehlers) Buehrer and passed away on November 8, 2014 in Grand Junction, Colorado at the age of 75 years. Rex was a 1956 graduate of Utica High School and a 1961 graduate of the University of Nebraska. On July 2, 1960, Rex was united in marriage to Patricia Marie Renick in Seward, Nebraska. Their marriage was blessed with four children, Scott, Jennie, Carla and Brett. Rex was employed as a manager with Fuller Brush, with Robert's Dairy, Penner's and Champion Home Builders, both in York. For several years Rex had resided in Grand Junction, Colorado. Rex is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Opal Buehrer; son, Brett Buehrer in 1975; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Doris Buehrer; sister and brother-in-law Marion and Jene Dass, brother-in-law Ken Maurer; niece Celestia Maurer. Survivors include son, Scott (Jade) Buehrer, Grand Junction, CO; daughters Jennie Buehrer, Naples, FL, Carla (Terry) King, Norman, OK; sisters, Eunice Maurer, Bullhead City, AZ, Joanne (Merle) Scouten, Kensington, MD, Ruth Reiling, Seward; grandchildren, Sydney, Mason, Jaxon, Matthew, Nevaeh; nieces, Kerry McManigal, Kacy Gill, both Lincoln; nephews, Kenneth Maurer, Havasu City, AZ, David Buehrer, Grand Junction, CO; mother of their children, Pat Naber, York. Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Buehrer Family for later designation in care of Zabka Funeral Home, Seward.
