Richard Paul Hagemoser was born February 6, 1929 in Seward, Nebraska to Paul John and Fern Evelyn (Anderson) Hagemoser and passed away in Seward, Nebraska on June 16, 2012 at the age of 83 years, 4 months, 10 days. Dick was a 1947 graduate of Seward High School; he attended Nebraska Wesleyan University and Concordia University and received his Masters of Education degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. On September 4, 1949, Dick was united in marriage to Bonita Jeanette Rohren in Seward and their marriage was blessed with two children, Tim and Beth. Dick was an educator and coach in Valparaiso for three years and an educator, coach and principal in Waverly for 17 years. Following his retirement from education, Dick and Bonnie were owner/operators of the Coast to Coast Store in Seward for 19 years. He was an athletic bus driver for Seward Public Schools for eight years. Dick was a member of Seward United Methodist Church, Seward Country Club and a lifetime member of the Nebraska Coaches Association, serving as secretary for 15 years. Dick is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Fern Hagemoser and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wes and Irene Rohren and a sister-in-law, Virginia (Ginny) Rohren. Dick is survived by his wife, Bonnie of Seward; children and spouses, Tim and Manuela Hagemoser, El Paso, TX and Beth and Jim Woolsey, Beaver Crossing; six grandchildren and spouses, Kevin Hagemoser, Eric and Colleen Woolsey, Kelly and Dan Spivey, Jill Woolsey and fiancé, Craig Ehlers, Yamile Hagemoser, Gibran Hagemoser; great-grandchildren, Gabe Woolsey, Noah Woolsey, Westin Woolsey, Tessa Spivey, Luke Spivey; siblings and spouses, Carol and Dick Hershberger, Seward, Marlene "Molly" and Boyd Gabel, Seward, Dr. Wayne "Butch" and Marilyn Hagemoser, Ames, IA; nieces and nephews; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Karen and Marvin Hines, Morse Bluff, NE; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dr. Don and Charlotte Rohren, Pleasanton, CA, Bill and Karen Rohren, Fremont; and a host of friends.
