Richard Sedlacek was born June 22, 1951 near Paxton, Nebraska, the son of Joseph and Sophia (Meyer) Sedlacek and passed away on May 11, 2016 at his home in Goehner, Nebraska at the age of 64 years, 10 months, 19 days. Richard was a 1969 graduate of Paxton High School. He farmed for many years and since July of 1999 has driven a truck for Schulz Transportation, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Joseph W. Sedlacek; brother-in-law, Milford Lammers and his sister, Margaret Sedlacek.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Cory and Tara Sedlacek of Wichita, Kansas and their daughter, Victoria Sedlacek; daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Eric Petersen of McKinney, Texas; sister, Mary Lammers, North Platte; sister-in-law, Mary Sedlacek, North Platte; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Graveside Services and inurnment will be held at 11:00 a.m. CST on Monday, May 16, 2016 at the Ogallala Cemetery, Ogallala, Nebraska.
