Richard A. Tomandl, 88, passed away in his home in Mobile, Alabama on December 12, 2012. He is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Richard was born in Bee, Nebraska on June 21, 1924, graduated from Seward High School in 1942 and married his sweetheart Mary Jane Lierman on March 27, 1942. He served his country during WWII as a Navy seaman in the Pacific. Richard is survived by his loving and devoted wife Jane of 70 years, three children and spouses: Carol (Jerry) Hocutt of Mobile, AL, Sandy (David) Anderson of Mission Viejo, CA, and Tony (Cheryl) Tomandl of Midlothian, VA. His grandchildren are: Dennise (Alan) Allred, Barry (Sharon) Klussman, Corlynn (Joe) Raleigh, Erik (Belinda) Klussman, Ethan (Janie) Klussman, Joel (Lacie) Klussman, Jerry (Nikki) Hocutt Jr., Melissa (Trevor) Stearns, Jenny Hocutt, Stacey (Jeff) Simmons, Sean Anderson and Leslie (Matt) Hartman. He is also survived by 29 great grandchildren. During his life Richard worked as a salesman and business owner. When he retired he and Jane served as volunteers in Christian ministries, including Wycliffe Bible Translators, Campus Crusade for Christ, Jungle Aviation and Radio Service (JAARS) and Mission of Love. In addition, he was active in the various churches he and Jane attended wherever they lived. Richard lived his life as a committed follower of Christ, faithful husband and loving father, grandfather and greatpa. One of his favorite Bible passages was "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth" 3 John 4. Now he has entered his eternal home and heard his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ say, "Well done good and faithful servant - enter my joy."
