Robert Lee Pollock was born February 21, 1925 on the family farm southwest of Utica, Nebraska, the son of Robert "Ralph" and Lulu V. (Roden) Pollock. Bob passed away in Seward, Nebraska on January 8, 2015 at the age of 89 years, 10 months, 18 days. Bob attended elementary school at District 33 in rural York County and was a 1943 graduate of Utica High School. During his high school years, Bob worked as a janitor at the high school. On May 8, 1943, Bob began employment with John and Bernice Hanson at their John Deere Implement business. Bob was united in marriage to LaRue L. Daehling on September 10, 1944 in Marysville, Kansas. Bob and LaRue were blessed to celebrate 70years of marriage in 2014. A partnership was formed between Harold, Bob and Louis Pollock on April 1, 1952 and Pollock Bros. Implement and HardwareJohn Deere Dealership was in operation in Utica until their retirement in 199341 years. Bob was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on March 25, 1945. Bob was a board member and secretary of the Utica Community Home and a member of several organizations, SYA Club (antique tractor club), the Utica Town Board, Centennial School Foundation Board and Bob was always a dedicated ambassador for the Utica community. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Lulu Pollock; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Norman Pollock, Harold and Luella Pollock, Marvin and Lorene Pollock, Irene Pollock; his sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and Wayne Luethje and niece, Kay Brhel. Survivors cherishing Bob's memory include his wife LaRue Pollock, Seward; his brother, Louis Pollock, Utica; 11 nieces and nephews and their spouses; numerous great nieces and great nephews and a host of friends.
