Robert Eugene Eastman was born June 3, 1927 in Omaha, Nebraska to George and Julia Eastman and passed away in Seward, Nebraska on October 12, 2007 at the age of 80 years, 4 months, 9 days. Robert was a graduate of Creighton Prep High School in Omaha, Nebraska; he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Korea. Robert was united in marriage to Velmalou Ellen Watkins in November of 1952 in Omaha, Nebraska. Their marriage was blessed with seven children, Diane, Alan, John, Jeff, Rich, Dan and Joe. Robert was employed for thirty-eight years by Northwestern Bell Telephone and US West Telephone. He was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church in Seward, Nebraska. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, George and Julia Eastman; three brothers and one sister. Robert is survived by his wife, Lou Eastman of Seward; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Steve Krajicek of Lincoln; sons and daughters-in-law, Alan Eastman of Waunakee, Wisconsin, John and Jenny Eastman of Kinsley, Kansas, Jeff and Renae Eastman of Ogallala, Rich and Ronda Eastman of Kearney, Dan and Lori Eastman of Papillion and Joe and Rosie Eastman of Ralston; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Rae Eastman of Crawfordsville, Indiana and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Robert. |
