Robert Ernst Krieser was born on February 13, 1941, in Seward, Nebraska to Paul and Viola (Schulz) Krieser and passed away on May 15, 2026, in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 85 years, 3 months and 2 days. He was baptized on March 9, 1941, confirmed on April 11, 1954, and attended school through 8th grade all at Immanuel Lutheran Church (Middle Creek) and School.
He grew up outside Garland, Nebraska on the family farm where daily chores were a part of his life. He enjoyed playing baseball with his brother, Russell. He was the catcher and Russ, the pitcher. From this came his love of collecting baseball cards and the New York Yankees baseball team. Robert found great joy in sharing this passion with his nephews. A highlight of his life was seeing the Yankees play in person.
Robert attended Garland High School graduating in 1958. After high school he enlisted in the National Guard and started working for a local farmer. He then began working at Garland and then Seward Co-op. He married Marjorie Schultz on August 26, 1967, also at Immanuel Middle Creek. They both attended church and school here. They were blessed with three children, Cynthia, Lisa, and an infant son. Family was a big part of Robert's life. He was a good "girl" dad and always supported their decisions.
Robert farmed part time with his dad while also working at Tenneco. He continued farming after his dad’s passing. He raised pigs for many years. His parents and daughters would all get into the old blue pick-up for the trip to the sale barn before heading to breakfast afterward. He retired from Tenneco after working there over 25 years and took a job shortly afterward delivering the Lincoln Journal Star newspaper to rural areas. He and Marge spent countless early mornings working together to deliver them. They were also season ticket holders for many years to the Nebraska Men's basketball team.
Robert's life was deeply rooted in Immanuel (Middle Creek). From his baptism as an infant to his confirmation, marriage and ultimately his funeral service, the church remained a constant and meaningful presence throughout his life. He was serving as Vice President of the church council and was an elder. He was the bell ringer and cemetery mower for many years. Later, he joined the church mowing crew.
To say Robert will be missed is an understatement. He enjoyed talking to people and always had a smile on his face as he traveled around in his yellow Jeep.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cynthia Krieser; infant son; parents-in-law, William and Helen Schultz; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim Tucci, Darrell Karr, Vern and Arlene Fisk, Kenny and Bonnie Schultz.
Survivors cherishing his memory include his wife of 58 years, Marjorie Krieser, Garland; daughter, Lisa Krieser, Omaha; siblings, Russell (Margaret) Krieser, Lincoln, Sharron Tucci, Lincoln, Connie Krieser, Garland; sister-in-law, Phyllis Karr, Papillion; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
