Robert Dean Ringler was born October 4, 1936 near Staplehurst, Nebraska to Erich Nicholas and Christina Sophia (Roerden) Ringler and passed away in Seward, Nebraska on December 23, 2013 at the age of 77 years, 2 months, 19 days. Robert was baptized on October 25, 1936 and confirmed on March 18, 1951, both at Zion Lutheran Church, Staplehurst. He attended Zion Lutheran School and was a 1955 graduate of Seward High School. He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1959 and worked toward his Masters Degree. Bob was a lifelong farmer and received his State FFA Farmer award. Bob was a life member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, rural Staplehurst. Bob was a longtime member of the Tamora Coop Board. He enjoyed playing pitch with his card club, bowling and later dartball at St. Paul's Lutheran. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Erich and Christina Ringler; his sister and brother-in-law, Leona and Lawrence McGowen and sister-in-law, Eda Ringler; his brother, Donald. Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Cathy Ringler, Omaha, Rob Ringler and Diane Lichty, Seward, David and Nicole Ringler, Lincoln; eight grandchildren, Deanna Ringler, Brittany Ringler, Thomas Ringler, Abbey Ringler, Joshua Ringler, Zachary Ringler, Ethan Ringler and Noah Ringler; mother of their children, Louise Ringler, Lincoln; brother, Wilber Ringler, Seward; sister-in-law, Phyllis Matthews, Omaha; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
