Robert "Bob" Bruce Upton was born on October 1, 1952, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Wilbur "Bill" and Rosemary (Daugherty) Upton and passed away peacefully on November 11, 2020, in Lincoln at the age of 68 years, 1 month and 10 days.

Bob grew up in the Lincoln area where he attended and graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School with the Class of 1971. After school Bob enlisted into the Nebraska Air National Guard on February 19, 1972. Bob served in Operation Desert Shield from December 10, 1990 to May 26, 1991. He was honorably discharged on May 27, 1991. Bob attended University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1973 and then began working at Goodyear for the next 40 years. On October 28, 1977, Bob was united in marriage to Lois Ann Piening at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Pleasant Dale, Nebraska. Bob loved spending time with his family, especially his three grandchildren. In his younger years he enjoyed golfing, hunting, gardening, and snow skiing. Bob was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Pleasant Dale.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Rosemary Upton; parents-in-law, Arthur and Lueda Piening; two brothers-in-law, Tom Cebuhar and Lyle Piening.

Bob is survived by his wife, Lois Upton; son and daughter-in-law, John and Anika Upton, Milford; three grandchildren, Matyx, Alexis and Adriana Upton; three sisters, Susan and husband Jim Lawrence, Casa Grande, AZ, Donna Cebuhar, Green Valley, AZ and Rhonda Upton, Lincoln and his special dog, Boo.
