Rodger Glen "Rod" Felix was born on June 10, 1936, to Glen and Fern (Johnson) Felix in Geneva, Nebraska and passed away on April 3, 2024, in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 87 years, 9 months and 24 days.

Rod graduated from Geneva High School in 1954. He received a Bachelor's degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1958 and a Master's degree from the University of Nebraska in 1967. Rod taught math and coached basketball for three years in Valley, Nebraska and thirty-three years in Seward, Nebraska. He took many teams to the state tournament and was runner-up twice during his coaching career. The highlight of Rod's career was coaching his three sons and oldest grandson.

Rod is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Rose (Nichols) Felix of Lincoln; children and spouses, Pat (Larry) Brauer of Seward, Tim (Dawn) Felix of Lincoln, Nancy (Dan) Schulz of Seward, Marc (Kristi) Felix of Lincoln, Michael (Sue) Felix of Lincoln; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry (Betsy) Nichols, Ray (Margaret) Nichols, Dan (Wendee) Nichols, Carol (Bart) Rath. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's United Methodist Church or to the Capital Humane Society.
