Ronald Vaughn Welch was born February 28, 1961 to Victor Virgil and Lola Lauree (Olston) Welch in Okinawa, Japan and passed away at his home in Goehner, Nebraska on December 16, 2012 at the age of 51 years, 9 months, 18 days. Ron was a graduate of Seward High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1980 to 1984. He enjoyed outdoor sports and spending time with family and friends. He was a long time contractor at BTU in Lincoln, working with the company for 13 years. Ron was united in marriage to Janice Elaine Weber on September 22, 2012 at Friedens United Church of Christ in Goehner where he is also a member. Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Lola Welch; father-in-law, George Weber; grandparents; aunts and uncles. Ron is survived by his wife, Janice Welch, Goehner; sister and brother-in-law, Vicki and Brian Blackwell, Goehner; his mother-in-law, June Weber, Minden; children, Pam and Brett Miller, Alliance, Amanda and Vince Salvatore, Seward, Allen Roeder and Courtney Noland, Oshkosh, Megan and Chris VanDerslice, Bee, Bobby and Mary Kramer, Utah, Brandon Welch, Stillwater, MN; 15 grandchildren; aunts and uncles, Jane and Bob Dumpert, Exeter, Pixie Welch, Seward, Melvin and Cookie Olston, Grand Island, Jim and Norma Olston, Lincoln, Rosana and Jerry Garret, Missouri; nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
