Rose Martha (Semin) Bohaty Stanislav was born May 19, 1921 at Bruno, Nebraska to Edward and Anna (Trojan) Semin and passed away in St. Petersburg, Florida on June 16, 2009 at the age of 88 years, 28 days. Rose attended North Olive country school and was a 1938 graduate of David City High School. On February 24, 1941, she was united in marriage to Albin Bohaty at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ulysses, Nebraska. Their marriage was blessed with one daughter, Beverly. Rose worked for Safeway Grocery and was head checker at Jack and Jill Grocery, both in Seward; she retired in May of 1987. Albin passed away November 24, 1990. Rose was united in marriage to Herman Stanislav on May 29, 1993 at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church in Seward. Rose was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, Altar Society and PCCW and was a life member of Seward VFW Post No. 4755 Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing Bingo and was known to be a competitive card player to her grandchildren.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Anna Semin and her husband, Albin Bohaty, her brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Agnes Semin, Ray and Helena Semin and Nick and Caroline Semin, her sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice and Harold Barghahn and Anna and Joe Houska.
Rose is survived by her husband, Herman "Stan" Stanislav of Seward; her daughter, Beverly Burtch of Clearwater, FL; her grandchildren and spouses, John and Michelle Burtch of St. Petersburg, FL, Daniel and Sarah Burtch of Knoxville, TN and Anne Burtch of Clearwater, FL; her great-grandchildren, Ansley, Finley and Cooper Burtch, all of St Petersburg, FL; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Rose.
