Royce Neil Wullbrandt was born March 8, 1933 in Lincoln, Nebraska and passed away in Seward, Nebraska on July 14, 2012 at the age of 79 years, 4 months, 6 days. Royce was baptized on January 7, 1934 and confirmed in May of 1946. He attended country school and was a 1951 graduate of Seward High School. Royce served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War from 1950 to 1955. On March 23, 1958 Royce was united in marriage to Myrita Ilene Kulhanek at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lincoln, Nebraska. They lived most of their married life around Goehner, moving to Seward in 2000. Royce was a farmer until 1984, then worked at MetroMail in Seward for 11 years. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Goehner, a charter member of the Tamora Fire Department, a former member of the Goehner Fire Department and a member of Seward American Legion Post #4755. Royce is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Adolph and Florence Martha (Guenther) Wullbrandt; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bob Gillan, Earl Kulhanek, Marilyn Vigen, Louis Kulhanek, Evelyn Kulhanek and Esther Kulhanek. Royce is survived by his wife, Rita Wullbrandt, Seward; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joye Gillan, Seward, Leah and Ron Oswald, Milford; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Duane Kulhanek, Lincoln, Harold Kulhanek, Jr., Fairbury, Ethel Beetley, Lincoln, Lorraine and Keith Richardson, Fairbury, Jim and Mary Kulhanek, Lincoln; nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
