Obituary
Nannie Ruth Jaudon was born on May 11, 1927, in Leflore County, Misissippi to Jasper Elward and Effie Lucille (Mullins) Johnson and passed away on May 23, 2018 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 91 years and 12 days. Ruth attended school in Morgan City, Mississippi, graduating in 1946. She worked for a couple of years as an operator for the telephone company and later as a receptionist for Westinghouse. On August 4, 1951 Ruth was united to Charles Hendon Jaudon in Itta Bena, Mississippi. They became the proud parents of Charles H. "Chuck" Jaudon, Jr. and Deborah Lynn Jaudon.
Charles and Ruth lived in West Memphis, Arkansas for 20 years before moving to Seward in October of 1973. Ruth and Charles have been longtime members of the Seward United Methodist Church. Ruth worked at the Seward Country Club as a hostess and in the club office for a year. Ruth loved playing cards- the time with many bridge groups, playing rummy in later years and of course, poker. Ruth loved playing poker and winning!
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper and Effie Johnson; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Cameron "Buddy" and Nannie Bell Johnson, J.W. and Dot Johnson and Paul K. Johnson.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 66 years, Charles, Seward; her children, Charles H. "Chuck" and his wife, Cherryse Jaudon, Seward, Deborah and her husband, Lehman "Bud" Honeycutt, Bee; her three grandchildren, Jeremy Jaudon, Dylan Siebrass and Drew Ann Janecek; a great grand-daughter, Dalila RuthAnne Janecek; step grandchildren, Chase Cook, Ember Cook, Aaliyah Cook, Orlanna Cooper,Theresa Honeycutt and Matthew Honeycutt; her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dr. Joe and Jane Greever, Pooler, Georgia and Joy Kelly, Batesville, Mississippi; nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Ruth.
