Obituary

Sally Irene Hofer was born on July 2, 1938, in Seward, Nebraska to Max Richard and Anna Irene (Hauck) Anstine and passed away on March 15, 2021, in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 83 years, 8 months and 13 days. Sally grew up in Seward where she graduated from Seward High School with the Class of 1956. She went on to attend two years at Concordia College and then taught two years at a country school.

On January 24, 1959, Sally was united in marriage to David Hofer at the Seward United Methodist Church and to this union three children were born. After their marriage they lived near Staplehurst until moving to Benkelman in 1978. After their children were born Sally stayed home to raise their family. When the kids were older, she worked at House of Davisson in Seward for many years. Sally worked for 22 years in the clerical department at Dundy County Hospital in Benkelman. She had a dream to go to Hawaii, so on their 40 th anniversary the kids gave them the trip of a lifetime.  After the passing of David, she moved back to Seward where she worked part time at Zabka Funeral Home.
