Sandra J. Policky was born on September 21, 1935, in Diller, Nebraska to William and Eulida (Hughes)Ahrends and succumbed to a 3 and half year battle with Multiple Myeloma on April 24, 2012 at the age of 76 years, 7 months and 3 days. She was the second of 5 children. Sandra married Alfred Hyde and from this union 2 daughters were born. She then married Ron Sinn and they had 2 sons. Later she met and married Joseph Policky and from their union a son and daughter were born. Sandra was a former employee of the Milford Nursing Home and Seward Memorial Hospital as a nursing assistant. She also worked at Lincoln Snacks. She was the best mother and grandmother, her family was her life and we will miss her so much. Sandra is survived by her husband Joseph Policky, her children, Vickie and husband Matt Pfeifer, Debi Bruha, Ron Sinn, Michael Sinn, Joseph Policky and Julie Waegli, 10 grandchildren, Jeremy, Jeff, Tammy, Cari, Casey, Jill, Lexi, Adrian, Kylie and Kiara, 12 great grandchildren, Cara, Jacob, Johnny, Sara, Lilly, Denae, Joshua, MaKayla, Sophia, Collin, Chloe and Abbigail, three brothers, one sister and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Zabka Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. on Monday April 30, 2012 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Seward Celebrated by Father Rand Langhorst. Burial will follow at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery in Bee, Nebraska. Serving as pallbearers will be Matt Pfeifer, Michael Miers, Scott Ahrends, Jeff Bishop, Jeremy Bishop and Larry Cermak. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Sinn, Mike Sinn and Joseph Policky. Memorial should be given to the Leukemia/Lymphoma/Myeloma Society.
