Scott Bradley Dey was born May 20, 1964 in Wilmington, Delaware to Marilyn Ann (Kaspersen) and Harold Louis, Dey, Jr. and passed away at home in Seward, Nebraska on April 4, 2009 at the age of 44, years, 10 months, 15 days. Scott was a 1982 graduate of Ballard High School in Louisville, Kentucky. He served his country in the Nebraska Air National Guard from 1981 through 1994. He was a 1983 graduate of Southeast Community College in Milford, Nebraska. On September 27, 2003, Scott was united in marriage to Nicki Lynn Wustrack at Friedens United Church of Christ in Goehner; their marriage was blessed with one son, Braeden Michael Dey. Scott served as a Sergeant with the Seward Police Department and had completed numerous military and law enforcement courses and schools. He was also owner of Midwest General Contracting. He was chairman of the Seward Airport Authority. Scott enjoyed scuba diving and spending time with his family, Nicki and Braeden, his friends and his companion, Harley. Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Loyal A. and Madelyn D. (Jenkins) Kaspersen and Harold L., Sr. and Anita (Fischer) Dey. Scott is survived by his wife, Nicki Dey of Seward; his son, Braeden Michael Dey of Seward; his mother, Marilyn Dey of Seward; father and step-mother, Harold Jr. and Gwen Dey of Mobile, Alabama; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly "Chris" and Paul Haviland, Louisville, Kentucky and Barbara and Steve Adams, Lincoln; his brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Renay Dey, Lincoln; nieces and nephews; a great-niece; mother-in-law, Connie Wustrack, David City; father-in-law, Douglas Wustrack, Milford; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Trevor and Shannon Wustrack, Lincoln; Travis Wustrack, Lincoln; grandparents-in-law, Carl and Vivian Schluckebier, Staplehurst; special companion, Harley; and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Scott. |
