Scott Alvin Pierce was born on September 29, 1960, in Lincoln, Nebraska to Richard LeRoy and Nadine Ann (Purbaugh) Pierce and passed away on May 26, 2021, at his home in Pleasant Dale, Nebraska at the age of 60 years, 7 months and 27 days.

Scott was raised on the family farm near Pleasant Dale. He attended school in Pleasant Dale and graduated from Milford High School with the Class of 1978. Scott was united in marriage to Pamela Scdoris on August 17, 1987, in Seward, Nebraska. Scott began working for Burlington Northern Railroad as a Diesel Mechanic. He retired in 2020 after 41 years of service. Scott also farmed and raised cattle. He enjoyed raising show cattle and hogs for his sons and grandchildren. Scott loved his family very much and enjoyed taking the grandkids fishing. He also loved his dogs. Scott was a member of the Pleasant Dale United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Wallace and Lydia Scdoris and his grandparents.

Survivors cherishing his memory include his wife, Pam; parents, Richard and Nadine Pierce, Pleasant Dale; brother, Randy Pierce, Pleasant Dale; children, Brandon and wife, Ashley Pierce, Pleasant Dale, Steven and wife, Melissa Pierce; stepchildren, Patrick and wife, Kayla, Paczosa, Genoa, NE, Melissa Paczosa, Denver, CO, Barbara Paczosa and Ryan Tuxhorn, Columbus; 18 grandchildren, Sophia, Chloe, Gavin, Tucker, Knox, Leti, Paige, Alissa, Tiffany, Tara, Katie, Tijanna, Tamia, Britton, Kobe, Lexis, Madison and Bailey; six great-grandchildren.
