Spencer Scott Schulz was born October 29, 1996 in Norfolk, Nebraska the son of Michael Ellan and Kathryn Ann (Fett) Schulz and passed away on November 18, 2013 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 17 years, 20 days. Spencer was baptized at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church in Norfolk in 1996 and confirmed at Southwood Lutheran Church in Lincoln on May 1, 2011. Spencer was a junior at Lincoln Lutheran High School where he was an honor roll student and had participated in football and track. As a child he was a Cub Scout and participated in many YMCA sports programs. Spencer loved ~ his older brothers, his many friends, his pastors at Southwood Lutheran Church, going to Husker football games with his Mom, his pets, target shooting with friends at the IKES, his after school job and the people at Richdale Apts., new shoes, Art class, hunting on his Grandpa's farms, movies with friends. Spencer collected vintage pop bottles, had a passion for lighting fireworks on the 4th of July in Seward and he detasseled corn for Glock every summer. He looked forward to getting his braces removed and attending medical school to become an orthopedic trauma surgeon. Spencer had a great sense of humor and a quick wit. Survivors who will cherish Spencer's life and memory include his parents, Mike and Kathy Schulz, Lincoln; his brothers, Steven Schulz, United States Marine Corps, Silverdale, Washington and Samuel Schulz, United States Army National Guard, Lincoln; his grandparents, Delvin and Maxine Schulz, Norfolk and Gary and Marian Fett, Seward; aunts and uncles, Jan and John Lichty, Omaha, Joan and Randy Gathright, Crawfordsville, IN, Scott and Ami Schulz, Adel, IA, David and Andrea Fett, Omaha, Kristyn and Chuck Winn, Durango, CO; six cousins, Jeff Schinker, Ashley Schinker, Bailey Schulz, Sydney Schulz, Kassidy Winn and Colton Winn; other relatives and a host of friends. Spencer is preceded in death by a cousin, Austin Cussins. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers, and memories of life shared with Spencer.
