Terrence M. "Terry" Stuchlik was born on October 31, 1942, in Beatrice to Cyril M. "Andy" and Nelda M. (Meyer) Stuchlik and passed away on December 31, 2017, in Alton, IL; at the age of 75 years and 2 months. As a young man, Terry was an accomplished drummer in the Alton High School Marching Band. He then went on to complete undergraduate and graduate degrees at SIUE. After graduation, Terry was employed as a Geographic Planner in the research department at East-West Gateway for thirty-eight years until retiring. He then did volunteer work.
He was a parishioner at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton. Terry was an avid car enthusiast, that lead him to being the founder and publisher of the NSU Enthusiast Newsletter, which was his favorite automobile. Terry was a sports fan, especially football and a serious coin collector. Terry was devoted to his family and friends, and will be missed by all who knew him.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Cyril "Andy" and Nelda Stuchlik.
Survivors include his brother, Thomas and wife Kathleen Stuchlik; two nephews, Eric and Patrick Stuchlik; niece, Laurie (Brennan Williams) Stuchlik; two aunts, Bonnie Perrin and Lavera Meyer; uncle, Paul Perrin; godson, Benjamin Meyer and many cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 a.m. with Monsignor Robert Tucker celebrating Mass. Burial will follow at Seward Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers Masses or donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. Zabka Funeral Home, Seward, has been entrusted with the local arrangements.
