Obituary
TJ Meyer was born April 27, 1967 in Wahoo, Nebraska, the son of Larry Eugene and Judy (Lau) Meyer and passed away on June 14, 2017 at their family home in Milford, Nebraska at the age of 50 years, 1 month, 18 days. TJ was a 1985 graduate of Milford High and in 1990 received his Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. From 1990 to 1994, TJ was an educator in Falls City. On September 3, 1994, TJ was united in marriage to Shanna McClenahan at the Evangelical Free Church in Lincoln and their marriage was blessed with two children, Jensyn and Bragan. The couple lived in Milford from 1994 to 1996, moving to Kearney in 1996 through 1998. During that time TJ completed his Master's Degree in Educational Administration. In 1998, he became Principal at Sandy Creek where they resided until 2002, when they returned to Milford. TJ was Junior and Senior High Principal for 11 years and served as Elementary Principal the past four years.
TJ was a member of Hillcrest Evangelical Free Church in Seward, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Region I Principals Association and Kiwanis of Milford. His hobbies included golfing, and coaching. He was passionate about Husker Football and Duke Basketball. His true devotion was to his faith, Bible study and his family.
TJ was preceded in death by his father, Larry Meyer.
Survivors cherishing TJ's life, legacy, and memory include his wife, Shanna Meyer of Milford; his children, Jensyn Meyer and Bragan Meyer; his mother, Judy Meyer of Lincoln; sisters and brothers-in-law and their families: Tracy and Brad Blair of Lincoln (Brady, Brice, Tori, Tiffany) and Jami and Jedd Mosher of Magnolia, TX (Aiden and Ashton); parents-in-law, Connie and Garvin McClenahan of Grant; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Steve and Brenda McClenahan of Grant (Courtney and Mallory) and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Monica and Bart Starr of Denver, CO (Iris and Graham); other relatives and a host of friends.
