Venice Lorraine (Miller) Busch was born September 1, 1921 in Ashland, Nebraska to Frederick A. and Lena (Heldt) Miller and passed away in Seward, Nebraska on July 5, 2010 at the age of 88 years, 9 months, 24 days. Venice was a graduate of Yutan High School. On October 23, 1942, Venice was united in marriage to Leland Morris Busch at the U.S. Naval Air Station in Miami, Florida. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Leland and Sandra. Venice was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and a life member of VFW Post No. 4755 Auxiliary, both in Seward. Venice was known for her love of crafts and she enjoyed making candy to share with others. Venice is preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Lena Miller; her husband, Leland, in 1985; two sisters, Verna Eichner and Clara Ohm; sister-in-law, Grace Miller; brothers-in-law, Ernest Eichner, Harvey Ohm, Bob Simons, Roy Busch, Harold Busch and Victor Hildebrand. Venice is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Leland "Butch" and Kathi Busch of Valparaiso, Indiana; daughter, Sandra Busch of Sun City, Arizona; grandchildren, Kristin Busch of Chesterton, Indiana and Kristopher Busch and wife, Sarah of Valparaiso, Indiana; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Lynn Busch; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leroy Miller of Valley, Robert Miller of Denver, CO, Jim and Marilyn Miller of Lincoln, Joe and ErmaRae Miller of Lincoln; sister, Maryann Simons of Wahoo; sister-in-law, Gladys Hildebrand of Seward; many nieces and nephews, including Mary Kruse who gave special love and care over the past year; and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers, and memories of life shared with Venice. |
