Viola Marie (Weitzel) Holland was born November 10, 1935 in Seward, Nebraska to Henry Phillip "Mike" and Katherine Amolia "Mabel" (Gabel) Weitzel and passed away in Omaha, Nebraska on February 23, 2010 at the age of 74 years, 3 month, 13 days. Viola was a 1953 graduate of Seward High School and was employed for many years in the Russell Souchek Law Firm in Seward. Viola attended Friedens United Church of Christ in Seward. On December 20, 1995, Viola was united in marriage to Chester V. Holland. Following their marriage, Violet moved to Bellevue where they made their home. Viola is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Jennifer Jo; her husband, Chester in June of 2009; her parents, Henry and Katherine Weitzel; brothers and sister-in-law, Chancellor and Grace Weitzel and Phillip Weitzel; sisters and brother-in-law, JoAnn and Richard "Butch" Gragg and Kathleen E. Holland. Viola is survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Weitzel of Newman Grove; her nephews, Robert Weitzel of Grand Island and Richard and his wife, Peggy Weitzel of Fremont, Joe and wife, Phylllis Weitzel of Newman gove; niece, Judith and husband, Ernie Wilmink of Lindsay; great-nieces and great-nephews and many friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers, and memories of life shared with Viola. |
