Walter Eugene Bierbaum was born February 22, 1940 in Barnes, Kansas to Lawrence Paul and Vera Arlene (Cairnes) Bierbaum and passed away on January 19, 2006 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 65 years, 10 months, 26 days. Walter was a 1958 graduate of Barnes, Kansas Rural High School. He was employed with Fleming Foods for 13 years and worked for over 12 years in full service food preparation and service. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Seward. Preceding Walter in death were his parents, Lawrence and Vera Bierbaum; brother, Paul Bierbaum; son, Roger Bierbaum; and step granddaughter, Danielle Grinnell. Walter is survived by the mother of their children, Karen Schneider, Seward; children and spouses, Ron Bierbaum, Lincoln, Rhonda and Eugene Jensen, Seward, Robert and Melody Bierbaum, Seward, Randy and Jill Bierbaum, Seward; 12 grandchildren, Ashley, Aaron, Carla, Matt, Christian, Paul, Jacob, Nathan, Sean, Corenia, Samie, Jamie; 2 great grandsons, Timothy and Carl; daughters-in-law, Nola Hlvac and Mary Zordel, both of Lincoln; brother and sister-in-law, David and Pat Bierbaum, Dalhart, Texas; sisters and brother-in-law, Ann Usher, Dalhart, Texas, Betty and Jerry Wiemers, Washington, Kansas; nieces and nephews; other family members and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Walter. |
