Wanda E. (Remmers) Carman was born February 13, 1931 in Cook, Nebraska to John and Etta Remmers and passed away on May 28, 2009 in Magnolia, Texas at the age of 78 years, 3 months, 15 days. Wanda was a graduate of Cook High School. On March 9, 1952, Wanda was united in marriage to Roy Carman and their marriage was blessed with two children, Cathy and John. Wanda and Roy moved to Seward in 1964 and opened Graphic Printing. They were involved in the commercial printing business for nearly 40 years, retiring in 2002. Roy and Wanda moved to Garland in 1996 and following Roys death Wanda remained in Garland and then moved to Magnolia, Texas in December of 2007 where she was cared for by her daughter-in-law Annette Carman and her granddaughter, Ashley Carman. Wanda passed away with her family by her side at their home in Texas. Wanda was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Seward. Other memberships included the Seward Junior Womens Club, League of Women Voters and the Seward Area Chamber of Commerce. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, John and Etta Remmers; her husband, Roy Carman; her sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Darrely Niebrugge and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mervin and Ginger Carman. Wanda is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Steve Daasnes of Seward; son and daughter-in-law, John and Annette Carman of Magnolia, Texas; her brother, Donald Remmers of Tecumseh; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Bertie Carman of Wayne; five grandchildren, Jesse Eret, Daniel Eret, Ashley Carman, Jerry Carman, Taylor Nuttleman; two great-granddaughters, Angeleina Reichart and Amayah Perry; nieces and nephews and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Wanda. |
