Werner John Warnsholz was born May 5, 1912 in Lancaster County, Nebraska (north of Garland) to Richard and Julia (Sundermann) Warnsholz and passed away on November 30, 2007 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 95 years,6 months, 25 days. Werner was baptized at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Elk Slough, northwest of Malcolm and he was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Garland on March 28, 1926 by Rev. T. Joeckel. He attended rural School District No. 32 and Zion Lutheran School in Garland. On December 25, 1938, Werner was united in marriage to Beata Amanda Luebbe at the parsonage of Middle Creek Church, with Rev. A. Merz officiating. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Orlin and Carol. Werner and Beata made their home west of Garland, where Werner farmed, for 50 years. Werner loved all aspects of farming. For several years, he also worked at the Nebraska State Fair Grounds. The couple moved to Seward in 1992. Beata passed away in 2004.
Werner's hobbies were reading, traveling which included Canada, Mexico and the United States; he also enjoyed watching baseball and football.
Werner was preceded in death by his wife, Beata Warnsholz; his parents, Richard and Julia Warnsholz; son, Orlin Warnsholz; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lydia and Fred Mussmann and Emma and Fred Kettenburg; brothers and sister-in-law, Paul and Alma Warnsholz and Walter Warnsholz; brothers-in-law and spouses, Adolph and Frieda Luebbe, Theodore and Irene Luebbe, William J. and Anna Luebbe, Henry Luebbe, George and Irma Luebbe, Lester Luebbe; sisters-in-law and spouse, Helen and Albert Gade, Elvadine Luebbe and Hulda Ahlschwede.
Werner is survived by his daughter, Carol Warnsholz of Seward; daughter-in-law, Alice Warnsholz of Milford; two grandchildren and their spouses, Lee and Christine Warnsholz of Sterling and Jennifer and Ron DeBoer of Lincoln; two great-grandchildren, Derek DeBoer and Danelle DeBoer; sister and brother-in-law, Olinda and Marvin Schulz of Seward; brother and sister-in-law, George and Leona Warnsholz of Lincoln; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Esther Luebbe of Seward, Clarence and Elsie Luebbe of Pleasant Dale, Lloyd and Joyce Luebbe of Staplehurst; brother-in-law, Bernhard Ahlschwede of Seward; nieces and nephews and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Werner.
