William was born on September 25, 1963, to William Paul Leif Jr. and Cheryl Elizabeth (Melvin) Leif and passed away on July 27, 2016, in Lincoln at the age of 52 years, 10 months, and 2 days. William graduated from Centennial High School in 1982. He attended SCC in Milford where he received an auto mechanic degree and later an auto parts degree. Will later graduated from UNL in 1993 with a B.A. in Education. He worked at Duncan Aviation and Progressive Insurance and for the past ten years he worked at Triple A Insurance.

William was preceded in death by his grandparents, William "Bill" and Elizabeth "Bessie" Leif and Dorr and Nellie Melvin.

William is survived by four children, Tanner, Morgan, Noah, and Abigail; mother Cheryl Leif, Lincoln, NE; two brothers Perry Leif, Raymond, NE and Matthew Leif, York, NE; former wife and mother of his children Tammy Leif, Bennet, NE.

Private family services were held.
