William Dean Kruger was born October 17, 1981 in Norfolk, Nebraska, the son of Bruce Dean Kruger and Debra Lee (Wragge) Kruger. Bill passed away on June 1, 2010 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 28 years, 7 months, 15 days. He was a 2000 graduate of Norfolk High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. While at UNL he was named to the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. In 2009, Bill received his Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Doane College. He was an educator with Seward Public Schools for five years where he was a Seward High School math instructor and served as an assistant football coach and middle school wrestling coach. He was also a member of the SCIP Team at Seward High, a member of the Nebraska Education Association, and a Seward Wrestling Club coach and board member.
Bill was united in marriage to Emily Sue Stanley on August 28, 2004 in Lincoln, Nebraska. They moved to Seward in 2007 and were attending The Rock Lutheran Church in Seward where they served as a Godparent Couple.
Bill is preceded in death by his grandparents, Darrell Wragge, Eddy and Shirley Kruger, John Young, and Dale Stanley.
Surviving to cherish Bill's memory are his wife, Em Kruger of Seward; his mother, Debra Kruger of Norfolk; his father, Bruce Kruger of Hoskins; sister and brother-in-law, Amy and Rick Hasenpflug, Lincoln; nephew and niece, Brayden and Addison Hasenpflug; brother and sister-in-law, Aric and Karen Kruger, Norfolk; nephew and nieces, Dean, McKenzi and Natalie Kruger; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Noel and Brenda Stanley, Lincoln; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kim and Justin Johanns, Lincoln; nephew and nieces, Burkett, Noelle and Olivia Johanns; grandparents, Jeanine Wragge of Pierce, Donna Young of Dixon, Rita Stanley of South Sioux City; and his faithful dog, Jakey Boy. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Bill.
