William Lee "Bill" Wood was born on April 30, 1954, in Seward, Nebraska to Ralph and Eva (Sobotka) Wood and passed away on March 15, 2022, in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 67 years, 10 months and 15 days.

Bill grew up in Seward and was a graduate of Seward High School with the Class of 1972. After high school Bill worked for a drywall company around the Seward area. He later co-owned DJ's Bar for 15 years in Staplehurst, until his retirement in 2012. In his free time Bill loved to fish, hunt, golf, play poker, bowl and in his younger years he enjoyed playing slow pitch softball. He also loved sports and was a big fan of the Chicago Bears and the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roger Wood; granddaughter, Gabby Wood.

Survivors cherishing his memory include his two sons, Cory Wood and significant other, Dawn Ahrens, Casey Wood and significant other, Amanda Berndt; grandchildren: Peyton Wood, Rowan Wood, Kingston Hofer, Solarra Wood, Saylor Wood, Alyssa Nuttelman, Abbie Ahrens, Conner Rosendale; siblings, Tom and wife, Sue Wood, Karen and husband, Dale Rees, Sue and husband, Ben Coffey, Kathy and husband, Greg Vandenberg, Dave and wife, Annette Wood, Tim and wife, Debbie Wood, Steve Wood, Ginny and husband, Kevin Koranda and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
