Wilma Marie Stransky was born January 18, 1914 in Dwight, Nebraska to Antone and Katherine (Hurka) Stransky and passed away on March 31, 2013 in Grass Valley, California at age 99. She graduated from Dwight High School in 1931. After graduation she taught primary school for several years. She then attended Midland Lutheran College, Wesleyan College and the University of Nebraska where she obtained her Teacher's Degree. She taught High School English and Latin in Oakland, Nebraska for the last 31 years of her career, retiring in 1977. Upon retirement she moved to Maryland to live with her sister, Eleanor (Stransky) Dulka. In 2003, she and her sister moved to California where they both resided with her niece and husband, Katharine and Reno Menegazzi. Miss Stransky is survived by her sister Eleanor Dulka, niece and husband Katharine and Reno Menegazzi, nephew Joseph Dulka and wife Kelly of Golden Beach, MD, niece Mary Keown of San Francisco, CA, nephew Roy Horacek of Omaha, NE, niece Vi Eberly of David City, NE, nephew Ron Korinek and wife Lois of Lincoln, NE, many great nieces and nephews across the country.
