Yvonne Marie (Koltenbeck) Dorland was born April 18, 1931 in South Bend, Indiana to Benjamin and Mary (VanRassen) Koltenbeck and passed away on February 8, 2008 in Milford, Nebraska at the age of 76 years, 9 months, 20 days. Yvonne was a graduate of Moline High School, Moline, Illinois. On September 24, 1949, she was united in marriage to Edward David Dorland at Geneseo, Illinois. They were the parents of three children, Diane, David and Denise. Yvonne resided in Coal Valley, Illinois for 21 years, Port Charlotte, Florida for 23 years and had been a resident of Milford, Nebraska for the past 2 years. Her memberships included: First Christian Church of Moline, Illinois; Life Member of VFW Auxiliary; Punta Gorda Country Club in Florida; Oakwood Country Club and Life Member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 274, both in Coal Valley, Illinois; United Methodist Church in Port Charlotte, Florida and she was currently a member of the Milford Assembly of God Church, Milford, Nebraska. Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Dorland and her mother, Mary Stearns. Yvonne is survived by her children, Diane and Grant Schlotman of Milford, Nebraska, David and Nancy Dorland of Rock Island, Illinois, and Denise McMaster and Michael Langston of Ft. Myers, Florida; her eight grandchildren, Tracy Fuller, Lucinda Jacobsen, Melissa Meyer, Shana Nottingham, Nicole Ortiz, Damian Dorland, Royanne Overfield and Chelsea McMaster and 12 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Bob Kucera of Ashland, Nebraska and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Yvonne. |
