Randy Lee Peters was born on November 21, 1956, in David City, Nebraska to John and Norma (Dewispelare) Peters and passed away on February 7, 2026, in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 69.
Randy grew up on a farm near Surprise, Nebraska. He attended grade school at Surprise 1R and graduated from Aquinas High School in David City, Nebraska in 1975.
Randy worked for Jirovsky and Feigion Construction for several years. He worked on his own after the closing of the construction company, until his health issues forced him to end the career he so loved. In his free time, he enjoyed small woodworking projects which included a unique doll cradle for his daughters. A skilled carpenter by trade, he took pride in working with his hands and creating things built to last.
Outside of work, Randy found peace and happiness in gardening, spending time with his beloved dog Cody, or any animal that crossed his path followed by Cody Jr. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, and working in his yard- he truly had a green thumb.
Randy is preceded in death by his father, John Peters and sister, Dianne (Dee) Svoboda.
Survivors cherishing his memory include his daughters, Shannon Peters Laux of Omaha, Jenny and husband, Nathan Pautler of Omaha; mother, Norma Peters of David City; grandsons, Gavin and Malik Laux, Easton and Atlas Pautler; sister, Denise and husband, Kevin Havlovic of Brainard; brother, Rick Peters of Lincoln; brother-in-law, John Svoboda of Lincoln and several nieces and nephews.
